China is installing Spyware app on tourists’ phones

China is the world’s most popular country in the world. It is a country that holds the record of having the largest population in the whole world. Every year tourists visit that country in a large number. But now, some news has spread regarding the tourists in China.

The visitors to Xinjiang in northwest China are experiencing a surprise by a spyware app that is forcefully installed on their phones by the Chinese guards at the Chinese borders. According to the reports, the tourists are being stopped at the Chinese border in Xinjiang regions and then their smartphones are seized. The guards on the border take their phones into a separate room. The app is installed on smartphones there. For installing that app on the I phones, a hand-drive machine is used.

The name of this app is Fengcai which is in Chinese language. Another name of this app is BXAQ. Fengcai is developed by a Chinese company named Ninjing FiberHome Starrysey Communication Development Company Ltd. And then distributed by Chinese authorities. This app is also called the Surveillance app.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The motive of the Chinese government is just spying. When the app is installed on the phones, it collects all the personal information including text messages, call logs and also a list of installed apps from the phone and that data is sent to a remote server for reviewing. It extracts emails, contacts, etc and can be used for the tacking movements. It is reported that Fengcai checks the content against a list of 73,000 items regarded as suspicious or carrying further investigation. And also, the data taken into consideration also include, how to make illegal weapons, etc.

The tourists have not been warned regarding this. Also, they have not been told what this software is looking for. It is not the first time when Chinese authorities have been caught using spyware to keep eye on people in the Xinjiang region, as this kind of intensive surveillance is very common in that region because many others steps have already taken by the Chinese governement for security. However, it is the first time when tourists are believed to have been the primary target.

It is said that once the detection is over, this app is being uninstalled by the guards and then no information will be sent to their server after this. But sometimes the guards may forget to do so. So,whatever the intentions of the chinese government, but it may hurt the feelings of the tourists.

Wildlife Conservation Technology

CAMERA TRAPS

We live in a time where Artificial intelligence is spreading day by day .Now, AI is turning towards the wildlife conservation. A security camera system named Trailguard AI has been developed. These are the infrared cameras which are playing a vital role in detecting the poachers when they attack the animals. And thanks to its small size that it cannot be seen by the poachers .But first, there was a problem with it that these IR cameras were not able to distinguish between the heat signature of humans and animals.So, for its improvement about 180,000 heat maps of people and animals were collected. Using this data, they developed a deep learning algorithm to recognize only human. This is called Systematic Poacher Detector(SPOT). This human detection algorithm run directly from an Intel-based processor in the camera head and this device consists of a battery having the life of about one year.

The benefit of this SPOT is that it only detects the human and so the battery can be saved as it will not detect useless things. It detects the poachers attacking at the animals before they can cause harm to the animals. Once we become able to detect the poachers, we can build a system by which we can catch the poachers like using emergency alarms. This year this Trailguard AI system has spread across many national parks and conservation groups in Africa and has expanded to South America and Southeast Asia

DRONES

Except this new AI technology used for wildlife conservation, there is another way by which the endangered species are protected with the help of technology. An Astrophysics Research Institute at John Moores University in the city of Liverpool in England is working on a data collecting Computer-based system capable of identifying animals with the help of a drone. These drones have cameras attached to them. The whole data about the animals is collected and that data helps to understand how much the animal number is decreasing due to habitat destruction,poaching or other factors. According to the decreasing number, we can recognize the endangered species and then we can take steps to save them.

But using these cameras attached drones are not up to the job. The problem coming with these drones is that when the pictures captured by the cameras on the drones are seen on computer, then it has to be decided that whether any animals are present or not and then counting and recording the results. Means, there can be many useless pictures captured by the cameras on drones. Therefore, we really need some improvement in this computer-based system

But overall, our technology has done a lot for wildlife conservation and developing more and more in this field.It has proved our thinking wrong that the advancement in technology is causing harm to wildlife. So, What do you think about it?

The Galaxy Fold opens smoothly like a book and closes flat with a click.It can act a phone as a well as a tablet means.Basically it has a large size as a tablet but if you fold, you can convert it into phone for its easy handling and for putting it into your pocket.

ARE WE READY FOR ARTIFICIAL WOMBS??

When babies are born before 37 weeks of gestation,they are very fragile and  premature, and not ready to be here.According to World Health Organisation,around 15 million babies are born premature every year. This number is increasing every year.and the result is the death of more and more infants.To solve this problem ,our researchers have developed Artificial Womb–a biobag containing Amniotic Fluid where the infants can continue their growth outside mother’s womb.

 These artificial wombs will prove useful in the situations when a baby is born premature and need more nourishment and time for developing.It is developed by the combined team of researchers from University of Western Australia and Tohoku University Hospital Japan.The Artificial womb consists of a biobag which has Amniotic fluid which the infants absorb as in a normal development.and there is a oxygenator from where the need of oxygen can be fullfilled. The heart pumps blood which flow through the umbilical cord and goes to oxygenator and comes back , in this way the blood gets oxygen.

 The researchers  used eight lamb fetuses that were  105 to 115 days old,a level comparable to the 23 weeks old human fetus. It was seen that their brain and organs  developed normally.The pinkish creatures opened their eyes ,they started fattening up and white wool grow on them.This experiment leads to the result  that the premature child can be developed in the Artificial womb.I know you will be thinking about the machines used in hospitals  in which the premature babies are put for more development.But I tell you that according to researchers,these machines demonstrate an arrest of lung development which results in the restriction of the lung function. But with the Artificial Womb Technology, the infants will grow without any restriction to lungs.
The developers of AWT(Artificial Womb Technology) certainly hope to move from tests on lambs to human babies.This technology will let women reproduce without risking their physical, economic and social well being.No time needed for dealing with pregnancy related complications.But, it will take a lot of time because not everybody is agree with it.As some are saying that psycological emotions ties between mother and baby will be lost if suddenly there will be no physical connection between the two. Some have  argued  that it is just unnatural .They are saying that it is  not the way God wants us to have babies All have their different opinions.

WHY WE GET SO ANGRY WHEN OUR WIFI CONNECTION OR INTERNET GET SLOW??

We all use internet and Wifi connections daily .We have to do a lot of work  with the help of internet.Without internet our daily life becomes very difficult .BUT, many times it happens that while using internet ,our connection suddenly get slow ..DO YOU GET ANGRY WHEN YOUR INTERNET OR WIFI CONNECTION SUDDENLY STOPS WORKING?? 

BUT,Why this happens??
Actually what happens,when  we are using the internet connection,like when we are searching something on google or waiting for a message.then we are in  a “prepare and hold”  state,Actually we  expect the speedy results,.So, when the connection suddenly get slow,then our positive expection get turned into tension,agressiveness,and frustration. Then the “Loading ” and “Wait for a while“ factors make us angry.

About 10 years from know,it took 15-20 minutes to boost a computer but today if we have to wait for only 10 seconds then we get angry and yell at the computer.DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS THE REASON OF ALL THIS??
The reason is our expection of immediate results.This shows that we people are psycologically dependent on digital technology.This is called Maladaptive Responses.Therefore when  suddenly it stops working,we start feeling crazy and face these Maladaptive Responses.
The findings have shown that when the digital technology suddenly stops working then people face FOMO.FOMO means Fear of Missing Out .Actually when the wifi or the internet connection suddenly  get lost ,then people start missing the things that the other people enjoy when they are online.
According to researchers,both the FOMO and Maladaptive responses have impact on our concentration and acheiving goals,resulting in poor performance.
Almost everyone is facing these problems. Now the question is : How can we solve these problems? Some psycologists have given the answer of this question.They suggest that whenever you have to wait for connection ,instead of staring continuously at the loading screen,engage yourself in any task.This will stop you to get frustrated and angry.Also you can read some books or listen music so that you can remain

calm.So,next time,whenever you are experiencing the crappy wifi or waiting for the connection,do something relaxing.
